Five years ago I was looking for my first project car. I wanted something special, something nobody I knew already had. I was on the hunt!
I typed ‘rare cars’ into your favorite internet search engine and found an ad for a 1980 International Midas Scout !!. $3500?! I’m sold. I didn’t even consider the possibility of it not running. I was naïve and excited. Six days later I was headed down a hill and my carburetor failed completely, causing a total power loss, which resulted in me crashing into a hydro box.
This moment was a make-or-break for me, it was then I realized what I got myself into…
